Aidacare Pty Ltd has updated the user manual (Instructions for Use) for its lifters, following a serious adverse event involving a death not caused by the device itself. The User Manual has been enhanced to strengthen existing instructions around correct and incorrect sling attachment methods and pre-use checks. 

This action commenced in April 2026. Aidacare is now attempting to reach a small number of customers who cannot be identified.

NOTE: Improper attachment of slings to the sling bar can result in patient falls, leading to severe injury or death.
